Biometric passport

• The biometric passport application file consists of the following documents
•  1. A copy of the valid consular card
•  2. A copy of the original passport with a valid residency statement
• 3. The application form filled out and signed by the person concerned. Download the form here: Biometric passport
• 4. Original X12 birth certificate (for citizens born in Algeria and residing abroad http://demande12s.interieur.gov.dz)
• 5. 04 recent solar photos, size 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm, regular, coloured, clear with a white background.
• 6. Work certificate or school certificate for the current year for students.
• 7. Passport fees: 276 AED.

          138 AED in cash for students and minors under 19 years old

• Passport fees 48 pages: 552 AED in cash

The submitted file shall be supplemented with a statement issued by the local police authorities in case of loss or theft.
The presence of the legal guardian is certain and necessary for minor children.
Incomplete files will be automatically rejected

National Identity Card:

• The Algerian electronic biometric national identification card is requested through the website of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Authorities dedicated to the two services of the passport and the biometric identification card.
• In order to be able to benefit from this service, the Algerian citizen must possess a biometric passport, which is a prerequisite for submitting the application, where the data available in it, especially the national identification number and the passport number, are used, which are necessary to submit the application, as shown in the picture next : 

• In contrast to the biometric passport, the presence of the applicant is not required, as his information is printed on the national identification card according to that on his biometric passport.
• Citizens can also follow up on requests for the Algerian electronic biometric national identification card on the website of the Ministry of Interior and Local Authorities dedicated to the passport and biometric identification card services.
