Full convergence between Algeria, Slovenia on all issues, says President Tebboune

LJUBLJANA (Slovenia)- The president of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on Tuesday in Ljubljana emphasized the full convergence between Algeria and Slovenia on all issues, stressing Algeria's readiness to meet all the gas needs of this friendly country.
"We exchanged views with the Slovenian President of the Republic and there is a full convergence on all issues, including illegal migration, artificial intelligence, the space field, water and environment," the president of the Republic said in a joint statement with his Slovenian counterpart, President Natasa Pirc Musar, following their talks.
The president of the Republic said the way "is open for the establishment of strong and exemplary relations between a European State (Slovenia) and a Maghreb and African State (Algeria)."
"Slovenia has a great deal of potential that our young people can benefit from," the president of the Republic said, adding that Algeria "is a reliable country, and is ready to meet Slovenia's gas needs."
"Our country cannot be affected by future changes."
President Tebboune commended "the courageous and honourable positions of the Republic of Slovenia on the Palestinian issue," adding that Slovenia "is the first European country to recognize the State of Palestine."
"It is a great honour, and we hope that it will set an example for other countries," he said, also praising its position on Western Sahara issue.
The president of the Republic reiterated his hope that "the two sides reach a mutually acceptable solution under the supervision of the United Nations, a solution that upholds Western Sahara people's right to self-determination, through a referendum on self-determination."
